You have subscribed to a Vodafone offer and you wish to cancel your contract? You've come to the right place, take advantage of our sample cancellation letter for Vodafone right now!
You can cancel your Vodafone subscription quickly and easily with Flashtemplate. All you have to do is fill in the sample cancellation letter for Vodafone. We will send the letter to your operator so that you don't have to worry about this annoying process.
Depending on the contract you have with Vodafone, the length of the commitment is different. This period can range from 12 to 24 months. To find out how long you are committed to the operator, you can consult the terms and conditions of your contract.
You must respect this commitment period to avoid early termination fees.
Vodafone does not provide any notice period for cancelling a contract with another telephone operator. This means that once Vodafone's customer service department receives your cancellation letter, your request is dealt with quickly.
As most Vodafone subscriptions have a commitment period, you may have to pay a fee if you terminate your contract early. In most cases, this fee is the full amount of the remaining monthly payments due until the end of your contract.
In concrete terms, if you have a 12-month contract and have already paid for 10 months, you have 2 months left to pay. This means that the cancellation costs correspond to the amount of your monthly subscription multiplied by approximately 2 (Vodafone may indeed deduct certain costs such as its
saved costs and VAT). Note that if you receive a discount on your monthly subscription, this will be taken into account when calculating your early termination fee.
Vodafone gives you a cooling-off period if you take out a contract with them. This period is 14 days. During this period, you can therefore cancel your Vodafone subscription whenever you want and without any costs. To cancel your contract during this period, you just need to send a cancellation letter to Vodafone's customer service.
Even if you choose to cancel your Vodafone subscription, you have the right to keep your telephone number.
To do this, you must use your porting authorisation code (PAC). Without this information, you will not be able to keep your number once the termination has been processed. Your new operator will then transfer your telephone number using the PAC.
There are different reasons for cancelling your Vodafone subscription. You may want to move to a new phone provider or you may simply want to stop using a phone line. This is what Vodafone calls a 'standard cancellation'.
In the latter case, you must give 30 days' notice. This means that after Vodafone has processed your letter of cancellation, a period of one month will elapse before all your services are definitively closed. You must therefore continue to pay your subscription during this period.
It is possible to cancel your subscription before the end of your contract with Vodafone free of charge if you are in the following cases:
- In case of serious illness or death
- If you regularly experience problems with the failure of Vodafone services
After your cancellation, a final invoice will be sent to you. You will find several elements on this document:
- the costs of your last month's subscription
- any user fees
- additional charges until your termination is fully effective
Do not cancel your direct debits with your bank until the charges for your last bill have been deducted.
If your Vodafone account is in credit, the amount due to you will be refunded within 45 days of receiving your letter of cancellation.
Your latest bill will be sent to you as soon as possible, even if you have recently changed your address (provided you have given it to Vodafone).
Even if your cancellation letter has already been received by Vodafone, you can reverse your decision and cancel your request if you contact customer services quickly.
This can only be done by the contract holder.
