What conditions must I meet to end my Tesco Mobile subscription?

As there are different lengths of commitment with Tesco Mobile, you should first check your contract and its GTCs (terms and conditions). This will show you whether you have a 12-month or longer commitment (Tesco Mobile offers commitments of up to 24 months).

To avoid paying early termination fees, it is therefore ideal to go to the end of your commitment period.

What fees will I have to pay if I cancel my contract before the end date?

As most Tesco Mobile subscriptions have a commitment period, you may have to pay a fee if you terminate your contract early. These charges are usually the full amount of the remaining monthly payments due until the end of your contract period.

For example, if someone has a 12 month commitment and has already done 10 months, they will only have to pay 2 months. This means that the cancellation fee is the amount of the monthly subscription multiplied by about 2 (it may be less because Tesco Mobile deducts some fees). Note that if you receive a discount on your monthly subscription, this will be taken into account when calculating your early termination fee.

When I cancel my Tesco Mobile subscription, can I keep my phone number?

Yes, you can keep your phone number when you leave Tesco Mobile.

To keep this line number, you must have your porting authorisation code (PAC). Without this information, you will not be able to keep your number once the termination has been processed. You must therefore send your PAC to your new operator, who will then take care of the line retention procedures.

Please note, however, that your PAC is only available to you for 30 days. After this period, if your new operator has not made the changes, your line will remain with Tesco Mobile.

  • - What is on my last Tesco Mobile invoice?

    After a cancellation, Tesco Mobile sends a final invoice. Here are the elements you will find on this document:

    - the costs of your last month's subscription

    - any user fees that may be incurred until your subscription is fully completed.

    You should not cancel your direct debits with your bank until the charges for your last bill have been deducted.

    If your Tesco Mobile account is in credit, the amount due will normally be returned to you within one month of Tesco Mobile acknowledging your termination letter.

    The invoice for the termination of your account will be sent fairly quickly after your termination has been processed, even if you have recently changed your address (if you have given it to Tesco Mobile).

  • - Can I cancel a cancellation request after Tesco Mobile has received the letter?

    Absolutely. Even if your Tesco Mobile cancellation letter is already in the process of being sent, you have the option of reversing your decision. Contact Tesco Mobile customer services quickly to cancel your request.

    This can only be done by the contract holder.

  • - I don't want to keep my phone number after I cancel, what should I do?

    If you don't want to keep the same telephone number when you leave Tesco Mobile for another telephone operator, you need your STAC (Service Termination Authorization Code) number. Tesco Mobile will provide this to you free of charge on request.

  • - I have a Tesco Mobile phone, how do I activate it?

    You've just received your phone from Tesco Mobile Services and would like to activate it. The process is very simple, just call any number to activate it. We then advise you to register your IMEI on the Immobilise website.

    Note that to use a phone provided by Tesco Mobile, you need a Tesco Mobile SIM card to make calls.
